Derren Brown takes a group of middle-management level workers he’s giving a motivational conference to and, unknown to them, begins them on a journey that will manipulate 3 of them into PERFORMING A ROBBERY AT GUNPOINT WITHOUT THEIR PRIOR KNOWLEDGE.

By the end they walk down the street mentally primed to do it by ‘DO IT’ and ‘TAKE IT’ advertisements all around them, carrying a gun-like water pistol he’s asked them to carry, taught to feel aggressive at certain stimuli, and with the security van already planted in their subconscious as a target. Even the words they use during the heist are programmed into them.

Also if you know anything about Psychology, he get’s them to participate in one of the most famous experiments - the Milgram Experiment which tests obedience in a powerful and shocking way (and was, incidentally, why I decided to study Psychology at degree level).

Also I have always secretly harboured a desire for a Sherlock fic where Moriarty did the same thing to unwitting targets. Sort of like the bomb victims in TGG.
